The improbable culinary mixture is the big revolution of the moment. The nikkei cooking is a fashionable gastronomy, mixing Japanese and Peruvian influences and attracts a lot of people.

Japanese food is known for the freshness of products and cooking and Peruvians cooking for its flavors.


Historic point, the word Nikkei is a name attributed to the Japanese immigrants and comes from the word nikkeijin in reference to Japanese lineage. In the XIXth century, many Japanese began to immigrate to Peru. That’s the reason why Japanese included in their recipe Peruvian ingredients such as hot peppers and lemon


The combination just tastes heavenly good. The democratization of sushis got the consumption of raw fish more current. The ceviche which is the national dish of Peru is revisited in the Japanese way. The raw fish is cut in cubes then marinated in some lemon juice.


What you have to keep in mind it that the preparation of every dish is simple and the cooking time is short so that every flavor is preserved.


However, more than revisiting dishes, new culinary techniques made their appearances. The culinary escape is allowed through the fusion of Peru and Japan. Those both countries separated by the ocean are now combined.
